Safeguarding

As well as providing top quality fishing, the welfare of our members is our top priority.

Taunton Angling Association has safeguarding policies and procedures in place to protect any angler at risk.

Any cases of abuse, neglect or bullying will not be tolerated and members are asked to bring any instances to the attention of the Safeguarding Officer listed below.
All members are covered by our Anti Bullying policies, Safeguarding policies and procedures, in order to protect the welfare of ALL anglers.

In conjunction with the Angling Trust “Best Practice” guidance, our club has developed two specific safeguarding policies with the aim of promoting and implementing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

The Club Safeguarding Adults at Risk Policy Jan 2024 covers for those over 18 years and the Club Safeguarding Young People Policy Jan 2024 covers those under 18 years.

Should you wish to make a disclosure or complaint regarding any incident, against any member of the club or any connected person. Then please do so promptly. This will be treated in the strictest confidence and dealt with swiftly.
The Club-Incident-Reporting-Form can be used to record and report any concern relating to poor practice, bullying, cases of emotional or physical neglect or abuse, or sexual abuse.
If you are unsure if your issue qualifies as a breach of the Safeguarding rules, then please contact the Safeguarding Officer to discuss.
